Adelaide Gaol Evening Ghost Tour

Adelaide Gaol, Gaol Road Thebarton and afterward at Cafe Villies.
Tours are limited to 20 people. Cost $22 per head. Payment in full required by 17th August (Aug meeting).
Arrival no later that 7.15 p.m. for 7.30 p.m. start.

Friday night the 23rd July was a great night, Lyn and myself hosted the Nashys Tri Branch Quiz and Games night at the Adelaide branch club room. We had a great night with a huge attendance of 160 people, those being Ulysses club members and their Rellies and friends.
We had members join us from as far as field as the Fleurieu region, Walleroo, and the Yorke Peninsular, which was great to see, and we appreciate them traveling so far to join us.
Prior to our guests arrival Lyn and I had decked out the hall in a Christmas theme, with each table having a Christmas centre piece on it. We had balloons and fairy lights and trimmings everywhere which gave the place a nice Christmassy atmosphere.
We started the Trivia Quiz with Quick Fire questions, just to get everyone's brains working, and a chance to win Chocolate bars for the right answer. Time then to play the first 40 of 80 mixed bag of trivia questions.
Soon it was time to take a break and play the games. The Swinging Balloon game was once again very popular with everyone, there was some 150 great prizes to be won just for bursting the balloon.
The Bottle of Booze game was again very popular where contestants slide their coin across the floor, the nearest coin wins the bottle, this was obviously very popular with the men.
An hour later it was back to the 2nd half of the Trivia Quiz, the end of this half resulting in a winners draw between the teams " Bad Santas'', and "No Eye Deers". An Who Am I question decided the winners the "No Eye Deers".
Shortly after the Winners Medal presentation ,there was more prizes to be won on the raffles and the door prizes.
We would like to thank everyone who came along to support us, and a special thank you to all those who dressed up Christmassy for the occasion you all looked great.
We hope everyone won a few prizes and you had a great time, as much as we did putting the event on.
All proceeds of the night is going to the Leukaemia Foundation, the total raised was $1,840. Well Done everyone.
Finally , I Santa, would like to thank my 2 Evil Elfs Lyn and Frank and Franks family for the hard work they put in to make the night run smoothly. The Elfs looked really great in their costumes.
We also want to thank the Fleurieu, Torrens Valley and the Adelaide Branches for their donation of the bottles of spirits on the night.
